I have had past experiences with p-servers from other games and mostly they seem to follow the same pattern i.e, faster exp/loot but less of a player base and more bugs. It’s totally fine if you enjoy the grind and have the time to do so.Hello, I was reading around on the subreddit and noticed that there is a private server for Aura Kingdom. Sorry for the rant I’m just kinda mad at Gamigo I hate that company it’s almost like selling AeriaGames to EA games. I will only be able to afford playing Private Server for the fast dailies without halting my progression like it would in OS. To mix uni, workouts, projects, a new job, and AK would be impossible. I didn’t have the time Gamigo wanted me to have really. I’m going to college and I even took a year off after graduating high school to work. Game is obviously dying because the people who craft pots all went to PS so I cant sell my Eggs and my mats I worked hard to get.Īlso what I was trying to say about education was specific to me. None of my stuff sells even at a reasonable, even somewhat cheap price. I’ve not spent anything on the game either, I reached 1mil dmg in the game but because of my class (reaper) and my 50% pen I cant even carry VoE when people with less damage can carry it. Ever since Aeria was sold to Gamigo there has been a purge of f2p players like me running to PS. The amount of money they want from you is absurd, even for an mmorpg. $250 per cap gold when you need about 20 cap golds to get everything to be OP is literally about 20% of my salary jesus fucking christ and I already bought a car, and I have to help pay rent in my new apartment with the limited amount I have while I find another job) I’ve never seen an mmo that milks that much money (I had a job and couldnt even pay AK. Original server is fine to grind if you quit school or whatever. Private server is perfect because yes, it’s easier to get geared up, but there is also quite a grind to it, just that you aren’t pushed to grind constantly, you can just run dailies, maybe do some farming, but you can also mix both education and AK.

Aura Kingdom likes to say it’s f2p and shit but as long as rich people have an advantage like eidolon archive that’s not f2p. Ff14 may be p2w but at least it doesn’t appeal to f2p players without them knowing that it’s going to be p2w. High risk low reward unless you give them your credit card info lol.

And quite recently nothing like that sells anymore because everyone is just whaling at the game. Not only that but I would spend the little amount of time I had to play gathering and grinding Giant Eggs, Timesilk, and Soulsucker. The p2w aspect really gives players an unfair advantage because of Holy Chest and Eidolon Archive that normal f2p players may never actually get before the game dies. Main server is not grindy at all it just wants you to pay money otherwise things are nearly impossible to get. This is just my opinion, you choose what you want. I don't mind waiting for that since it gives me some time to focus on leveling what I already have in progress instead of jumping into the new stuff as soon as it get released. I think they have few more eidolons and 1 more class then the aeria server. Over all some ppl prefer grind and some ppl just prefer the easier way I guess.Īlso the private server might get new content sooner the aeria. When a server wide xp boost gets turned on it feels like it's a limited time thing (like it should be), like there is more reason to run the same dungeons more efficiently, It might have been to always active xp boost or something like that which in my opinion isn't all that good to have xp boost on 24/7. I tried the private server for a bit, but it didn't felt the same as aeria server ( same as steam version), it felt easy and less interesting. The game hasn't really changed all that much, just more stuff got added, and the lvl cap is something like lvl 120, I'm not sure. From what I know both versions of the game have similar player base, according to steam charts there is around 400 - 500 active players, I couldn't really find any numbers for the private server so I don't really know.
